Mr.Lee Kwok Weng, B.Eng. (Mech.)(S'pore), M.Sc.(Ind.Eng)(NUS), DipBA(NUS),
GradDip Mktg.(MIS), LLB(Hons)(Bucks), LLM(Lond), Barrister-at-Law, Advocate
& Solicitor (Retired), Supreme Court of Singapore (Retired), Qualified
Mediator & Arbitrator, MMIS, FIES, Honorary Legal Advisor, IES & SISO, a senior lawyer, was in continuous private legal practice for almost
29 years running his own law firm before his retirement from legal practice. He has been for many years an Adjunct Associate Professor at the
Faculty of Business Admin, National University of Singapore, teaching
Business Law in the MBA programme. Mr. Lee was also an Adjunct Lecturer in NTU & BCA
Academy for many years. He
has been conducting courses too for a number of years in various other
institutions like IES Academy. He specialises in Business Contracts, Negligence, Information
Technology and Engineering & Building Laws. He is a very experienced
lecturer and trainer and is well-versed in the technical field, marketing and
management practice too. As a Negotiator in negotiating commercial and
business dealings on behalf of his employers and clients throughout his
working career both as a project manager & lawyer, Mr. Lee acquired a
wealth of practical negotiation skills & experience. Also Mr. Lee gains considerable practical
negotiating skills & experience as a Mediator for many years having
mediated in many commercial disputes when he was a Principal Mediator with
the Singapore Mediation Centre and as a private Mediator. He also brings with him vast industrial project
and business development management experience, having worked for than 12
years as a project engineer/manager in the public & private sectors.
Eventually, before his switch to legal profession, he was a senior project
manager in a leading Multi-national engineering and construction corporation
serving the energy, marine, oil and gas industries onshore and offshore,
managing numerous EPC projects. A knowledge lawyer himself, Mr.Lee also brings with him a wealth of practical knowledge & experience of the legal requirements, setting & starting and managing businesses in the knowledge economy as he is a co-founder of and legal/corporate adviser to some IT/internet companies. |
